ABOUT

Nayeli, a video editor from Philadelphia, has been working as a professional editor for at least four years while attending Temple University. She majored in Film and Media Arts with a concentration in post-production. As a student there, she worked as an assistant editor, editor, and VFX advisor on various film productions. Her experience also extended into principal production, where she worked as a script supervisor, Digital Imaging Technician, VFX supervisor, and photographer. She chooses to be available on-set to possess filmmaking experience but also it enables an understanding of how production can influence the final product in post-production.

Through her time editing, she has mastered non-linear editing, motion graphics, 3D models, time velocity, 3D tracking, and general visual effects. She also has mastered numerous editing software like After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and Audition. She grew and excelled as an editor in a variety of skills, including creative problem-solving, adaptability, attention to detail, consistent communication, excellent organization, and working under tight deadlines.

Although she has been editing professionally for at least four years, her experience in editing began at the age of thirteen. She began by crafting small video edits or compilation videos of TV shows and films on social media. At the time, editing was initially a hobby to pass the time and express her admiration for the stories she had watched, but it eventually turned into a passion for creating similar stories that had a similar effect on her, this time for others. Her passion for editing has given her the flexibility to work on projects that range in a variety of genres. Regardless of whether they are narrative, documentary, experimental, content videos, advertisements, educational videos, etc. As she believes there is always a sense of storytelling in any production, she chooses not to confine herself to any one style of editing.
